FAQ

What maintenance does the KP35 require?

Regular maintenance includes:

  • Visual inspection before each use
  • Cleaning of the fuel filter every 10 operating hours
  • Inspection of all fuel lines and connections monthly
  • Lubrication of bearings according to the schedule in the user manual
  • Annual inspection of the turbine blades and combustion chamber

Is the KP35 suitable for classroom demonstrations?

KP35 was designed with educational settings in mind. It can be built indoor but we don't recommend soldering or operating it in a classroom setting.

Operating a jet engine requires:

  • Adequate ventilation
  • Proper safety barriers
  • Hearing protection for observers
  • Adherence to safety protocols
  • Adult supervision and proper training for the operator

Please refer to the safety notice for more safety recommendations

Can children operate the KP35?

No. The KP35 is not a toy and should only be operated by adults with
proper training and understanding of the safety protocols. Children may
observe demonstrations under close adult supervision while maintaining a
safe distance from the unit.

The engine starts but then shuts down. What might be causing this?

This could be caused by:

  • Fuel supply issues or contaminated fuel
  • Overheating due to blocked air intake
  • Bearing issues causing RPM fluctuations
